Whether the building can actually hold the service
Regulation 15 asks whether your premises and equipment are safe, suitable and appropriate for the care you are registered to deliver. It is a question with a physical answer.
Expensive to fix once you are committed
Infection control, privacy, accessibility, equipment, and whether the layout supports the way care actually gets delivered. These are assessed by someone walking round.
Most providers find out what needs changing at the point where changing it is most disruptive — after registration, or during an inspection, with a service running in the building.
The same walk-through done before anyone commits costs a fraction of the same walk-through done afterwards, and the findings are the same either way.
Have you signed yet?
If not, this is the cheapest week of the whole project to do it. If you have, it is still worth knowing before an inspector tells you.
Book a walk-throughWhat it is
A walk-through, a written report, and a list you can actually act on.
Done the way it is assessed
We go round the building against Regulation 15 the way an inspector would, in the same order.
A list you can act on
What needs changing, what is optional, and what will be asked about even if it passes.
Timed to be useful
Before the lease, before registration, or before a known inspection — not after.
What it covers, and what it does not
An assessment and a written report against Regulation 15.
We are not surveyors, we do not do building control, and we do not carry out the works. Where you need a professional we do not employ, we will tell you which one and what to ask them.
Fees are quoted before any work starts. Nothing on this page is an offer.
Who it is for
Anyone about to commit
To a building or a site for a regulated service.
Providers preparing for registration
Where the site visit is coming and the building has not been assessed.
Existing services
That have changed how they use the space since they registered.
Send us the floor plan. We will tell you what an inspector will say.
Thirty minutes, no charge. A plan and a few photographs are usually enough for us to tell you whether a full walk-through is worth doing.

The walk round that happens before the lease, not after it.
