Who we are

This website is operated by MCB-HUB Ltd, trading as The Care Business Consultants, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 13962703), registered office Generator Building, Counterslip, Bristol BS1 6BX. We are the data controller for personal information collected through this site.

We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office under registration number ZB312478. You can contact us about anything in this policy at [email protected] or on 020 3856 8549.

What we collect, and why

We collect only what you give us and what the site needs to work:

• Enquiry and brief forms. Your name, organisation, role, email, phone and whatever you tell us about your situation. We use this to answer you and to carry out work you ask us to do.
• Newsletter sign-up. Your email address, used only to send the newsletter you asked for. Every message contains an unsubscribe link.
• Booking a consultation. Your name, contact details and the appointment, handled through our booking system.
• Analytics. If you consent to analytics cookies, information about how the site is used — pages viewed, where you arrived from, and which tools were used. This is used in aggregate to improve the site.

Our lawful bases

• Legitimate interests — responding to enquiries and running our business, where that does not override your rights.
• Contract — where we are carrying out work you have engaged us to do.
• Consent — for the newsletter and for analytics cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time.
• Legal obligation — where we must keep records, for example for tax or professional purposes.

Special category information

Our work sometimes involves information about people using care services, including health information. Please do not send us information about identifiable individuals through the forms on this website. Where such information is needed for work we are engaged to do, it is handled under a written agreement with the provider, by a secure route agreed with them, and never through this site.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your information and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing. We use a small number of service providers who process information on our behalf, each under contract and only on our instructions: GoHighLevel (LeadConnector), which provides this website, our customer relationship system, our forms and our booking system; and Cloudflare, which delivers the site and provides traffic statistics that do not identify individuals.

Some of these providers are based outside the UK. Where information is transferred outside the UK we rely on the appropriate safeguards permitted by data protection law.

Confidentiality

Enquiries from registered managers, and enquiries about a possible sale of a business, are treated as confidential to the person making them. We do not tell an employer that their manager has contacted us, and we do not tell anyone that a business may be for sale.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries that do not become work: up to 24 months, then deleted.
• Client records: for the duration of the engagement and 6 years afterwards, in line with our professional and tax obligations.
• Newsletter subscribers: until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to how we use it, to withdraw consent, and to receive it in a portable form. Write to us at the address above and we will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, though we would rather you told us first so we can put it right.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Where a change is significant we will say so on the site.
