How MCB-HUB Ltd, trading as The Care Business Consultants, handles personal information collected through this website and in the course of our work.

Who we are

MCB-HUB Ltd, trading as The Care Business Consultants, is the data controller for personal information collected through this website. We are registered in England and Wales, Company No. 13962703, with a registered office at Generator Building, Counterslip, Bristol BS1 6BX. You can reach us at [email protected] or 020 3856 8549.

What we collect

  • Contact details you give us: name, organisation, email address, telephone number and postal address.
  • Enquiry content: what you tell us about your service, your situation and what you need.
  • Buyer, seller, property and manager registration details where you choose to register with us.
  • Correspondence and call notes generated while we work with you.
  • Technical information about your visit, such as pages viewed and approximate location, where you have accepted analytics cookies.

Why we use it

  • To answer your enquiry and decide who in the team should handle it.
  • To provide the services you engage us for, and to keep records of that work.
  • To match registered buyers, sellers, property owners and managers with each other, only where each party has agreed.
  • To send service messages about work in progress.
  • To meet our legal, regulatory, insurance and accounting obligations.

Our lawful bases

We rely on legitimate interests to respond to business enquiries and to run our consultancy and matching services, on contract where we are delivering work you have engaged us for, on legal obligation where records must be kept, and on consent for marketing emails and for non essential cookies. Where we rely on consent you can withdraw it at any time.

Confidentiality and sharing

We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for advertising. Information about a business, property or individual is only released to another party when the person it concerns has agreed to that release, and in transactions that agreement is recorded in writing before anything identifying is shared.

We use trusted suppliers to run our systems, including our customer relationship platform, website hosting, email and telephony. They process information on our instructions only. Where a supplier processes information outside the United Kingdom we rely on the safeguards permitted by UK data protection law.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become work are kept for up to two years. Client records are kept for seven years after the end of the engagement to meet accounting, insurance and professional obligations. Registration records for buyers, sellers, property owners and managers are kept while your registration is active and for two years afterwards, or until you ask us to remove them.

Your rights

  • Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct information that is wrong.
  • Ask us to delete information where there is no continuing reason for us to hold it.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing, including direct marketing.
  • Ask for your information in a portable format where that right applies.

Write to [email protected] and we will respond within one month. If you are not satisfied you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Cookies

This site uses cookies that are necessary for it to function, and optional analytics cookies that are only set if you accept them. You can change your choice at any time through your browser settings.
