Before you commit
Shared Lives is one of the few care models where the quality is largely decided by matching rather than by process. The scheme’s job is approving and supporting carers well, and that is what the registration is really about.
Extra care sits close to supported living and close to a care home, and it can drift toward either. Decide deliberately which one you are building, and write the tenancy and care arrangements to match.
