Whether the numbers hold
Financial viability is a regulatory requirement, not a formality. CQC expects you to show you can staff the service safely, meet what you owe, and keep going.
Most plans that fail viability are not bad businesses
They fail because the model was built on assumptions rather than costs — a staffing ratio that looks right on paper, an occupancy curve nobody tested, overheads estimated rather than quoted.
The regulator is looking for the same thing a lender is: whether income, expenditure and the operational reality of delivering care actually line up.
Financial stability underpins safe staffing, and safe staffing is what the whole registration rests on. That is why this is assessed rather than accepted.
Before the lease, not after it
If you are not sure the numbers work, find out before you sign. This is usually the cheapest thing you will ever pay us for.
Talk it throughWhat it is
An assessment built to survive being questioned, because it will be.
Built from real costs
Actual staffing, actual overheads, actual delivery requirements — not sector averages.
Forecasting you can defend
Projections that hold up under questioning, because someone will question them.
Positioned for the reader
The same assessment often has to satisfy a regulator, a lender and an investor.
What it covers, and what it does not
This is an assessment, not bookkeeping and not an audit. We do not do your accounts.
Where the assessment shows the model does not work, the deliverable is that finding — clearly, with the reasoning — rather than a version that says otherwise. That happens, and it is worth paying for. Finding out now costs a fraction of finding out in month nine.
Fees are quoted before any work starts. Nothing on this page is an offer.
Who it is for
Anyone registering
A new service, where viability evidence forms part of the application.
Providers under scrutiny
Where financial sustainability has been questioned by a regulator or a commissioner.
Anyone writing a business plan
Where the plan and the viability assessment have to agree with each other.
Send us the numbers. We will tell you whether they hold.
Thirty minutes, no charge. A draft staffing model and your overhead assumptions are enough to have a useful conversation — do not tidy anything up first.

The figures, before anyone has committed to them.
