We ask you the questions first
The fit person interview is a formal regulatory assessment, not a chat about your CV. It decides whether the application proceeds.
People who know the job well still fail it
The interview assesses whether you can demonstrate accountability, regulatory knowledge, safeguarding awareness, and the ability to keep a service safe and sustainable.
It expects a working understanding of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014, the assessment framework, and the practical realities of oversight.
And people fail it for the same reason nearly every time: they answer from experience without structure. The answer is true, and it does not demonstrate what is being assessed.
Already been interviewed once?
Say so when you ring. Preparing for a second interview is a different exercise from preparing for a first, and it starts from what was said the first time.
Book a rehearsalWhat it is
A real rehearsal, not a briefing about one.
The questions, in the order they come
We ask them the way they are asked, at the depth they are asked, without warning you first.
Feedback on structure, not just content
What was missing from an answer that was otherwise entirely correct.
Grounded in your actual service
Generic answers are exactly what the interview is designed to find.
What it covers, and what it does not
Preparation. We are not present at the interview and we cannot answer for you — nor would you want a consultant's answers, because the interview is designed to find them.
If the rehearsal shows you are not ready, we will tell you that, and what to do about it before you sit the real one.
Fees are quoted before any work starts. Nothing on this page is an offer.
Who it is for
First-time applicants
For registered manager, where this is the first regulatory interview you have sat.
Nominated individuals
Facing the interview for the first time, often alongside a manager who is too.
Anyone re-interviewing
After an unsuccessful application, where the second attempt is assessed harder.
Book the rehearsal before you book the interview.
Thirty minutes, no charge, to work out what you need. If you are ready already we will say so and you can keep your money.
