Getting insurable, then getting insured

In that order. Most declined or loaded care policies are not declined because the service is bad. They are declined because the application did not describe it properly.

The version of your service that goes to an insurer

Cover has to reflect the service you actually run — your model, your risk profile, your structure. When the disclosures are incomplete or the risk is described loosely, you get a quote that is either too expensive, full of gaps you find out about at claim, or refused.

It is also a contractual and regulatory obligation, so the version of your service that goes to an insurer needs to be the same version that goes to everyone else.

Where those two versions differ, the difference tends to surface at the worst possible moment, which is the point at which you are trying to claim.

Been declined, or loaded?

Bring the decline letter when you ring. It usually says more about the application than it does about the service.

Talk it through

What it is

Preparation, not placement. The two are different jobs and we only do the first.

Documentation prepared

Accurate, complete, and consistent with what the regulator already has.

Risk positioned honestly

Presented properly rather than minimised — misrepresentation is what voids a policy at the worst possible moment.

Broker engagement structured

We work alongside regulated brokers and make sure the conversation is a professional one.

What it covers, and what it does not

We do not sell insurance and we are not brokers. We prepare you for placement and help you engage a regulated broker. The policy is between you and them.

That boundary is deliberate. Advice about how to present your risk should come from someone who is not also selling you the cover.

Fees are quoted before any work starts. Nothing on this page is an offer.

Who it is for

New registrations

Placing cover for the first time, where there is no claims history to point at.

Providers who have been declined

Loaded, or had cover withdrawn.

Services whose model has changed

Since the policy was written, which is more of them than you would think.

Send us the decline letter. It usually tells us where the problem is.

Thirty minutes, no charge. If the answer is that your broker can sort it without us, we will tell you that.
